ABOUT the STUDIO
RIVER PLACE STUDIO has two primary work areas...
THE MAIN STUDIO: All workshops begin here. This is where lesson information, materials, tips , tools and shop safety are presented and reviewed. Tables, chairs and easels are assembled to suit the workshop curriculum and class size. Class capacity will vary by workshop and medium used - See the Workshops page for more info.
THE COLDWORKING ROOM:
The second room is where all messy activities take place. Here, you will find a slop sink, cutting and grinding tools, bead annealing kiln, supplies along with a sandblaster. A covered walkway provides access to the 80 gallon compressor that powers the sandblaster and the 24" paragon kiln which is used to melt and fuse glass.
